Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, Lois grew up as an avid reader but didn’t begin writing until much later in life after a career in the Canadian Armed Forces. She’s the author of six novels, Coming Home, Broken Faith, Kicker’s Journey, Walking the Labyrinth, Bitter Fruit, Stone Gardens (Dec 2015) and a collection of short stories, Assorted Flavours. She has also contributed short stories to several anthologies. Her novel Kicker’s Journey won the 2010 Independent Publisher Book Award bronze medal, 2010 Golden Crown Literary Awards, 2010 Rainbow Romance Writer’s Award for Excellence, and 2009 Lesbian Fiction Readers Choice Award for historical fiction.
Lois has become far too familiar with border crossings and where to find good fountain Cokes on the road as she’s spent many years traversing the 4000+ kilometres between her northern home in Calgary and her wife’s southern home in Georgia. One day soon her beloved will give up mint juleps and magnolia trees for block heaters and snow shovels, and they’ll live happily ever after north of the 49th…with frequent trips south to thaw out.
